No welding required, this flex kit will give you a true 3" lift on the front of your solid axle hilux, whilst also moving the diff forward enough to allow fitment of 33" tyres at full compression.
Here's a run down on the main components that make this kit work :
- Springs - We had our engineer design some leaf springs to allow maximum travel whilst also riding nicely on and off road and not too soft that they sag within 3 months. The center pin location moves the diff forward approximately 40mm to allow clearance for a 33" tyre under full compression.
- Flex Torque Rod - The torque rod is one of the biggest limiting factors in front end flex on a solid front Hilux, so we made a new one using 3/4" chomoly heim joints with specially machined misalignment spacers to fit the factory mounts. This allows the torque rod to twist during articulation, whilst still serving its intended factory purpose.
- Shocks - We tried a number of different shock options during the testing phase and ended up settling on Bilstein 5150 Cross Flow Reservoir shocks. These shocks provide nice handling at speed and controlled articulation when tackling the hard stuff.

** Please note, as this kit moves the diff forward you will need to have your driveshaft extended approximately 80mm by a driveshaft shop.
